Grand Old Oak Park Rejuvenation Project and Environmental Education - Niagara Climate Change Action Network

Working with the Grimsby Environmental Network and the Town of Grimsby to remove invasive species (done now with monitoring in effect), the planting of native plant gardens, and replanting native trees and shrubs. The first park project was the creation of the Val Fleming Butterfly Garden at the Roatary Park in Beamsville — a joint project of Ontariogreen, the Fleming Foundation, and the Town of Lincoln.

Environmental Education programs are offered through Ontariogreen and include over 30 subjects for students from K to 8 with some presentations for high school students and adults, including presentations on Global Warming, Sustainable Cities, Gardening for Biodiversity, and more. Almost every presentation has a climate component. These presentations are provided free of charge and have been given to more than 88,000 students.
